Plush little Sistan piece from Persia/Afghan border region. Note sporadic but symmetrical use of white elements in the border.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving. His research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.

CONDITION
Pile is plush and even. Imperfections and attrition at sides and ends.
