DESCRIPTION
Light camel ground with soft colors and interesting abrash. Possibly Torbat-e-Jam, Khorasan province, northeast Persia.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving. His research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.

CONDITION
Iron dye oxidation in the black/browns; use-wear and attrition mostly around the periphery as shown.
