Baluch version of Zill-i Sultan motifs with arrow border. Likely Western Afghanistan.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving. His research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.

Pile mostly plush with use-wear and attrition around the periphery as shown.
