DESCRIPTION
Vividly dyed pile piece with abundant light blue, star medallion, striped kelim back ans original two tone braided fasteners. Interest in tribal textiles eventually compelled JD to seek things other than Baluch. Veramin pieces are defined less by ethnography than region. This is a plush and colorful old Persian textile.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving who’s research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.

CONDITION
Near mint with very minor attrition of side and trim weave.
