DESCRIPTION
Rare colorful finely knotted complete Veramin khorgin (double bag) with small flowers on indigo field; leaf and cup border. Interest in tribal textiles eventually compelled JD to seek things other than Baluch. Veramin pieces are defined less by ethnography than region. This is a plush and colorful piece.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving who’s research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.
