DESCRIPTION
Did they make bags in Karaja? Perhaps it was woven as a little mat. Classic saturated dyes are typical of the early Northwest Persian textiles. Interest in tribal textiles eventually compelled JD to seek things other than Baluch.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving who’s research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.
