DESCRIPTION
Likely Sistan. Features large Turcoman turreted gull as central medallion. Soft dyes. Interesting and attractive piece with rare red ground.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving. His research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.
