National Style O Guitar 1937

DESCRIPTION
Personal guitar goes back 25 years. Like Knopfler, I sought a 14 fret model. Anyone who claims the 12 frets somehow sounds better... lets just say I don't agree. I also wanted something that had a perfect neck and would set up with low action for finger style blues. Years later this thing plays like a Les Paul with no buzzing or fret chatter. If you want to bear down with anything more than a pinky slide you will have to raise the action. I never gave it a lot of mileage. Living room guitar. I never took it out; used maybe twice in studio. This particular style of palm trees is what Bob Brozman called Variation 7-- and that is how it is datable. If it were 1936 the palm trees would be leaning to the left. This one is as beautiful as the one in the book but I can't do better with my camera and lighting.

CONDITION
Functionally excellent and all original. As with all of these the finish plating was burned under what used to be a pick guard. There was some sort of shoring up of metal on the bass bout and its juncture this the top. (a couple inches along the seam). Whatever they did it is innocuous and sturdy. Examine photos.
