DESCRIPTION
Finely wrought ironwork with rosehead tacks. Incidental: 18th century newspaper inside cites 1750 Buffon’s theory of the earth. Probably an advertisement header. For philosophy of science fans (ie., myself) Buffon was the father of modern natural history and precursor to comparative anatomy and Darwinism.

CONDITION
