DESCRIPTION
Very finely woven.  I think what we have here is a rug where the sides werealtered-- a long time ago-- possibly in Kerman judging by the side cords and wrap. It was done well and Its hard to tell even closeup. In any case-- exceptionally decorative and a rare and useful size. Cute old thing.

CONDITION
Low spots in the red field around thelower part of the medallion such that there is some exposed foundation.
