DESCRIPTION
Most Baluch “star” bags have octagonal hearth medallions; this one is square with unusual purple dye. Large, book-worthy old collector’s piece.

Ex James Douglas personal collection. Mr. Douglas was a scholar and aficionado of Mideast tribal weaving. His research and publications focused on antique textiles of Persia, Afghanistan, and Baluchistan.

CONDITION
Pile is plush and even. Small minor imperfections and attrition here and there.
