DESCRIPTION
19th century piece with unique design— a millefleur variant of Harshang. This rug was found in London. Its the sort of thing the English were buying in the early 20th century while Americans were seeking red Sarouks. Very artistic and decorative. Early compact double weft weave on wool foundation.
CONDITION
”Bidjar-wear” with some exposed foundation mostly in the aubergine. Please examine the photos carefully. The photos tell the story.
