Very finely knotted. Extremely dense. Never lime washed or painted. Plush and perfect pile.

One of several pieces, an old cache from a St Louis collection mostly purchased 40+ years ago.

CONDITION
Almost mint but not quite. Nothing dry whatsoever but these supertightly packed Sarouks break along the edges here and there. I could find maybe 3 or 4 carefully sewn edge repairs. Visible only on the back. The worst one is shown in pic 4. None are more than 1/2 inch. Aside from this the rug is mint. The photos tell the story.
