DESCRIPTION
According to Kerimov the figures top and bottom are are Azerbeijani folk dancers. The four rectangles are Mihrabi. Two throne compositions in center. Nicely woven and decorative as well as ethnographically interesting. Ref: 2001; Azadi et al; Azerbeijani-Caucasian Rugs: pp 324-5. Genuinely old piece is in near mint condition.
