DESCRIPTION
Exceptional large folk art piece. 1 bird plus 18 pairs of well carved animals (including Noah and Mrs Noah) which are more elaborately painted than most German sets. The ark has stenciled gothic windows and trim. Giraffes are 7” tall. All animals are free standing. Note old MAD clipping which show similar large specimen by same maker.
CONDITION
Center hinge MIA. Well loved. Attrition of paint decoration.
