DESCRIPTION
French Paper mache’ milliner’s heads were used for hat and wig display. This is an early one with with gesso surface and paint decoration. Lovely naïve character and detail including delicate swag tassels on the dress. Circa mid to late 19th cent.

CONDITION
Honest use-wear. Some loss of gesso on the tip of the nose (common injury). Please examine photos carefully; ask questions up front.
