DESCRIPTION
Sturdy, heavy, and compact. Fine and elaborately "echo" quilted-- meaning that stitching pattern reiterates applique design.

Comes with St Louis provenance document (photo copy) identifying maker as "Louisa May." Apparently accessioned 1984 as #94 (dated circa 1863) in a document titled "MO Quilt Inventory." I will attempt additional research regarding this document and may append this if or when I can corroborate provenance source and integrity.

CONDITION
Minor attrition (iron oxidation) amid hand-dyed red. Faint linear stain visible only on back side.
