DESCRIPTION
Stumpwork needlework on silk, possibly American. Possibly earlier than 19th cent.  Note finely wrought details and various types of satin stitches in deep relief.  Beautiful Period shadowbox  frame with gold liner. A beautiful piece of folk art.

CONDITION
Some staining. A few tears in silk were professionally conserved. Now sturdy and stable.
