DESCRIPTION
Very interesting thing! No date but certainly first half 19th century. Ive never seen a sampler featuring what clearly appears to be a black subject. Dandy dresspossibly alludes to antebellum minstrel association. Southern origin is possible tho we are not sure. Period frame has great original finish and surface. A really marvelous piece of folk art via random composition and arrangement of motifs. This is a truly decorative and interesting piece of country folk art.

CONDITION
Excellent condition with no holes or repairs.
