DESCRIPTION
Early folk art portrait; original hand made flax canvas with period gold frame. Based on dress and style dates at least early 19th century (if not earlier). Charming details add interest: lush landscape; spaniel dog; flower and bird. Wonderful colors (especially her dress). A very lovely and decorative piece of early naive artwork.

CONDITION
A couple old patches on the back but never relined. I couldn't detect any in-painting with black light-- but careful examination in raking light indicates there is some here and there. You wont look this good when you are 200 years old.
