DESCRIPTION
Charming American folk art portrait. Its my opinion this is a boy. Approx 2-3 yr old toddler. I think the short hair is the give away. Most portraits with cats are Victorian vintage. This one is much earlier. Note the keys-- which are circa 1800 or earlier. An appropriate frame will make this a very snazzy piece.

CONDITION

Relined canvas. Expert work. I don't see any obvious tears or in-painting. Some craquelure. The photos could be better.
