DESCRIPTION

cf., Connecticut, possibly Filley Shop. Three sheet pan with white border perhaps diagnostic. The painters of these early pieces were essentially borrowing the same motifs used on English pearlwares of the early 19th century. (this is themes and variations on the classic "Leeds rose"). Interesting evolution.  A very bold and decorative folk art example.

CONDITION
Well used-- the asphaultum has wear. The paint decoration is less worn but not perfect. The pictures tell the story.
