DESCRIPTION

Relatively large pair with classic Sandwich five-step “quatrefoil” flint bases more commonly found on blown whale oil lamps. ((Ref: Barlow and Kaiser (Sandwich Lamps) nos. 2057-2060) dating 1830-1845. Note variation in the free-flown upper section which are also flint and both ring at the same intonation. Exceptionally rare form in candlesticks.
