American Pilgrim Period chest Original Paint circa 1730

DESCRIPTION
Nicely proportioned somewhat diminutive chest over two drawers with boot jack ends and original red paint. Double arch molding dates 2nd qtr 18th cent. Appear to be Period engraved cotter pin brasses although shows evidence of having once been fitted with knobs. Large dovetailed drawers reinforced with Period rosehead nails. Original rosehead nails abound throughout this piece.
CONDITION
Original snipe hinges were replaced with later 18th cent leather hinges set with rosehead nails. Now has flat mounted 19th cent cast butt hinges. Otherwise, original, sturdy, serviceable. Examine photos.
