DESCRIPTION
Possibly Philadelphia circa 1780. Here we have the creme de la creme of candlestands  having the whole 9 yards: snake feet; bird cage; and dish top. As much as I loathe the Sack books (good better best... normative drivel) if you check out pg 296 of "The New Fine Points..."  this piece clearly qualifies in form and proportions under the Sack-o-meter  as a  "superior." (for whatever its worth). Beautiful old Mahogany and all original.

CONDITION
Some relatively innocuous repairs in the base. Cut the price by $1-2K.  overall quite good, sturdy, and original.
