DESCRIPTION
Finials and deep ball and sausage turnings suggest Eastern Massachusetts. Presence of underarm stretcher is typical of Connecticut. Tall back with five slat configuration is notable feature. Large chair has a dominating presence Old black paint has heavy craquelure in places. Second half 18th century.

CONDITION
A few old superficial repairs are evident with careful examination. Original feet never pieced. Overall very good and sturdy. Please see photos.
