Huge exemplary quality c. 1860s Whites Utica NY crock with classic large Whites running bird. Note original manufactured holes in lug handles. Interesting and puzzling. This is an awfully large and heavy piece to have ever had a bale handle-- that this is what it must have been.  Glaze color is rich beautiful. In person this piece is a knockout.
